31 year old Papiss Cise has joined Shandong Luneng in the Chinese Super League from Newcastle United after spending 4 and a half years playing for the Championship club.
Newcastle United was relegated to the Championship last season despite many high profile signings and appointment of former Real Madrid and Liverpool coach Rafael Benitez.
Cisse joined Newcatle from German side SC Freiburg in 2012 and scored 44 goals in 131 games for the Magpies and has found game time more difficult to come by hence his decision to move. He will be most remembered for his incredible curling shot against Chelsea FC
The club wished him the best for the rest of his career.
