Veteran coach Guy Roux has accused Portuguese sensation Renato Sanchez of lying about his age. The 77 year old acclaimed former Auxerre coach of more than 40 years has stated the the player's real age would be about 23 or 24.
His comments has generated a lot of reactions with trends mostly related to racism as people around the world are saying this allegation by the former coach is because the player is dark skinned
Portugal head coach Fernando Santos has swiftly dismissed the rumors while Sanchez himself addressed the issue, he said, "Not everything in football is good. There are those who love you and others who don't. I grew up in Portugal. I spent 10 years at Benfica, How can i be 25? There is no logic in what some people say"
Reports state that Portuguese lawyers are already revving up a defamation suit again Guy Roux.
