Arsenal eyeing Lukaku and Lacazette

Rumours persist that Arsenal FC head coach Arsene Wenger is bent on bringing Olympique Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette to the club ahead of the new season. Lacazette scored 21 goals in Ligue 1 last season and 27 goals in the previous season for Lyon. Arsene Wenger has been criticized by lots of pundits including his own fan base over his inability to attract a world class striker to the club hence his determination to convince his compatriot to ply his trade at the Emirates next season.

Lacazette joined Lyon as a youth player in 2003 and made his professional debut in 2010. He has gone on to score 92 goals in 230 appearances for the club. Reports state that the striker could cost Arsenal FC £38 million.

Equally Romelu Lukaku has also been reported to be another transfer target for the multilingual Arsenal FC head coach. The £60 million rated Belgian striker has developed into a true danger for opposing defenses after he was sold to Everton from home club Chelsea FC in 2014 for a record £28 million. The left footed attacker has gone on to score 61 goals in 127 appearances for Everton and has become the first choice striker for the Belgium national team. His performance has therefore attracted interest from heavyweights like former club Chelsea FC, Paris Saint Germain etc.

Arsene Wenger will hope that this transfer window will not present another dreary striker search as he looks to better his team's third place finish in the league last season.
