Vardy and Griezmann signs new contracts

Jamie Vardy and Antoine Griezmann have ended speculation about their futures by signing a 4 year and a 5 year contract respectively at their respective clubs.

Both players have been linked with various European heavyweights like with rumours of deals with clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Bayern Munich etc. but have ended all speculation by putting pen to paper at their various clubs.

Even though new contracts have not been effective in stopping players from moving clubs when the desire is there, i think we will just have to wait and see.

EURO 2016 KnockOuts

After difficult group stage rounds, the contenders for the grand prize in the next round of the EURO 2016.

My Winner:

Portugal.

Prediction for Copa America final.

COPA AMERICA:

Defending champions Chile made it to the final after a 2:0 win over Colombia where they meet Argentina who they defeated in the last Copa final. Early goals from Charles Aranguiz and Jose Fuenzalida proved to be enough in a match which had to be delayed for over 2 hours due to a severe storm and threat of lightning.

Argentina themselves qualified for the final after a 4:0 hammering of hosts USA. An early goal from Ezequiel Lavezzi set them on the way, Lionel Messi doubled their advantage with a sublime free kick and a Gonzalo Higuain double completed the rout.

Both teams are in great form, both teams dominate opponents, both teams have players that can hurt opponents.

Who will win the 2016 Copa America?

Welsh machine on fire as questions remain for England.

Wales demolished Russia in their last Group B game to top the group and avoid potential heavyweights in the knockouts. Goals from Aaron Ramsey, Neil Taylor and Gareth Bale secured a 3:0 defeat of Russia and confirmed an emotional and record breaking progression to the knockouts.

England on the other hand had more questions than answers after securing theor progression as second placed team albeit after a goalless draw against Slovakia. Despite having more of the ball and numerous chances, they were thwarted time and again by the Slovakian goalkeeper, Matus Kozacik. A second placed finish means they would face off with any of the group leaders in the knockout round.
