Everton has signed Aston Villa midfielder Idrissa Gueye on a four year deal reportedly worth about £7.1 million.
26 year old Gueye joined Aston Villa from Lille last season and went on to make 37 appearances for the now relegated club. The strong midfielder has now joined the Merseysiders rejecting offers from other European clubs like Olympique Marseille.
Only N'Golo Kante made more tackles and interceptions across the top five leagues in Europe than the Senegalese international.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman has expressed faith in his new signing to increase the quality in the squad while the new man himself stated his pride at wearing the blue shirt and believes he has what it takes to succeed in the English Premier League.
