AS Roma set to sign world class defender

Italian giants AS Roma are set to sign €10 million rated defender
Thomas Vermaelen from FC Barcelona.

The Belgian defender left Arsenal for Barcelona two seasons ago for £15 million but made only eleven appearances for the Catalan giants throughout his stay due to injury setbacks.
The Spanish club has now decided to loan him out to Italy for the upcoming season for a loan fee of €2 million with AS Roma having the option to make the deal permanent for €10 million.
