Wednesday Champions League review

Club Brugge 0:3 Leicester City

Leicester City got a strong start to their Champions League adventure as they triumphed against Belgian giants Club Brugge.

Marc Albrighton got the EPL defending champions to a flying start in the 5th minute when he capitalized on Hans Vanaken's moment of madness.

Last season's PFA Player of the Year Riyad Mahrez then bent a free kick expertly over the wall into the top corner in the 29th minute and completed the win in the 62nd minute from the spot after Jamie Vardy was fouled by Club Brugge goalkeeper Ludovic Butelle.

Well done Leicester!!

Real Madrid 2:1 Sporting Lisbon

Defending champions Real Madrid avoided their own "Alaves" moment as they needed two late late goals to win against Sporting Lisbon tonight.
Bruno Cesar put the Portuguese heavyweights ahead in the 47th minute when he curled an inch perfect effort past Casilla. (this guy no dey try, I swear).

Real Madrid went all out for the equalizer and when all hope seemed to be lost, Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up in the 89th minute and rifled a free kick into the top corner. (Talk about perfect timing).
Substitute Alvaro Morata then completed the comeback with just seconds left on the clock with an header from James Rodriguez cross
