Manchester United signs Paul Pogba

Manchester United has completed the signing of Juventus star Paul Pogba, who joins in a deal worth an initial fee of about €105 million, making it the most expensive transfer ever, some €5 million more than the amount Real Madrid paid for Gareth Bale.

Paul Pogba left Manchester United in 2012 to Juventus for an insignificant fee and developed into an all round modern midfielder. Pace, strength, flair and a eye for the killer pass are his key attributes combined with an ability to play in various midfield positions. Pogba has won many individual and team trophies including four successive Scudetti. He was also in the 2015 FIFPRO World XI after a stellar performance that saw him help Juventus to the Champions League final.

These abilities have made him the toast of many big European teams in a bidding war that stretched as far back as May. However the 23 year old has finally returned to the club where it all began in a five year deal with an option of a one year extension.

Pogba will earn a reported massive £105 million pre tax as salary over the five years of his contract with Manchester United.

The player stated that his return to the club was destiny and he has unfinished business. He also pledged to help the club rediscover their ability to win titles and to do great things

United manager Jose Mourinho stated that Pogba is a player that the team could build around for the next 10 years or more.

Pogba becomes United's fourth signin of the summer after Zlatan Ibrahimovich, Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Welcome Paul!!
