1. Redomination of the elite clubs
Last season was one for the minnows as most of the big teams had seasons to forget. Teams like Manchester United, defending champions Chelsea FC, Manchester City and Liverpool with over 40 league titles between them were nowhere to be found allowing minnows Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur to run away with the league title and Champions League spots. All that is set to change as the mega owners of these clubs haven't been stingy with the cash on this transfer window as hundreds of millions have been splashed on top players like Zlatan Ibrahimovich, Paul Pogba, Leroy Sane, Michy Batshuayi etc. at home and abroad to reassert their dominance on the league. Top tactical minds across the globe have been acquired in Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte among others. Make no mistake, the big teams are back!
2. Banter! Banter!! Banter!!!
With Jose Mourinho once again locking horns with his eternal rival, Pep Guardiola who again is at the helm of another great rival club, you can expect the best episodes of good old mind games in the new season. Arsene Wenger, who has already drawn first blood but condemning Manchester United's mega deal for Paul Pogba, will also definitely have to defend himself at several points in the new season. Equally Antonio Conte and Mauricio Pochettino who are no strangers to banter will definitely be looking to get under the skin of their oppositions.3. Lots of upsets
Despite the big boys' massive spending, other "smaller" teams have not thrown in the towel just yet as many of them have made major moves in the transfer market. With the new television deal virtually enriching every club in the top division beyond, almost all teams have made and are still making major moves. Players like Fernando Llorente, Ahmed Musa etc. have moved to the EPL with last year's superstars like Dimitri Payet and Jamie Vardy have decided to stay at their present clubs. Juan Mata valued at over £30 million has been named as Everton primary target and many other crazy deals are being struck. Thus, we can all expect lots of upsets as most teams next season will be going for the jugular. Teams like West Ham, Swansea, Sunderland, Watford and last season's runner up Tottenham Hotspur will fancy their chances of defying the odds like defending champions Leicester City to win the title.
