Sunderland appoints David Moyes as manager

Sunderland has appointed former Everton, Manchester United and Real Sociedad manager David Moyes as head coach. Moyes signed a four year contract at the Stadium of Light and replaces former coach Sam Allardyce who took up the England job recently.


The club expressed their delight at his signing and believes he is the best person to achieve their aim of becoming a better, stronger and more stable football club.


The new coach said he is delighted to have joined Sunderland and he is relishing the challenge and excited by the opportunity.

The coach who has over 18 years of active coaching experience and has won numerous awards will be looking to transform Sunderland into a true footballing force in the new season.
