German midfielder Mario Gotze has rejoined Borussia Dortmund from Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich announced via their twitter handle that Mario has rejoined Borussia Dortmund where he has signed a 4 year deal with Thomas Tuchel's side for an undisclosed fee.
The attacking midfielder joined the defending Bundesliga champions in 2013 in a 37 million Euro deal that made him the most expensive German player in history (now broken by Mesut Ozil's 50 million Euro transfer to Arsenal) and went on to score 22 goals in 73 games but little game time has made the midfielder rejoin his boyhood club were he spent 12 years and won 2 Bundesliga titles in the Jurgen Klopp era.
Gotze who scored the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup has apologized to the Dortmund faithful saying the decision to move was a decision he would not even take today and promised to work his way back into their hearts with his performances on the pitch.
Good luck Mario!!
Wish him the very best
