Slovakia 0:1 England
Big Sam's England has hit the ground running as they recorded a win via a Adam Lallana effort at the nick of time. Despite playing over a third of the match against 10 men following Martin Skrtel red card for fouls against Harry Kane, the Three Lions had to work hard as their efforts to break down the defensive Slovakians proved abortive despite coming close on several occasions. However in the 94th minute, Adam Lallana's well struck effort squeezed past the goalkeeper to hand England the win.Germany 3:0 Norway
Talk about poor timing. Thomas Muller whose goals were badly needed in the just concluded EUROs but never showed up, scored a brace against Norway to kick start Germany's World Cup Qualifying campaign.Algeria 6:0 Lesotho
Riyad Mahrez scored a brace as Algeria demolished Lesotho in their AFCON qualifier. A first half goal blitz had the gogame done and dusted with Mahrez scoring the last goal of the game in the 74th minute. I doubt any team would be looking forward to lining up against this star studded team anytime soon.
