Pep Guardiola may have been coach of Manchester City for less than 3 months but the Spaniard's genius is already rubbing off his players as Raheem Sterling has just picked up the Premier League Player of the month award.
Sterling who had a woeful time last season and at the just concluded EUROs has looked reborn this season under master tactician Pep Guardiola and has registered two goals and an assist in his games this season.
Sterling said "The manager's been in the game a long time, won stuff, worked with young players, worked with great players, and he knows how to get the best out of his players.
"He's been a massive help. Not just for me, but the other players as well, the whole team."
Mike Phelan, Hull City caretaker coach who successfully negotiated his preseason writeoffs to two wins most notably against defending champions Leicester City also won the Premier League manager for the month.
Congratulations!!
