Messi stays firm on "Argenexit"

Sources within the family of Argentine magician Lionel Messi has stated that the Barcelona star might not reconsider and line up for his country during the upcoming World Cup 2018 qualifying fixtures.

Messi had announced his retirement after suffering another final loss in a major tournament final to Chile where the 29 year old missed a penalty. Getting sentenced at a local court and then watching longtime rival Cristiano Ronaldo lift the EURO 2016 trophy in France would have definitely not helped matters.

Efforts by the now reinvigorated Argentine Football Association to beg, plead, cajole or even force the man back has proved abortive as sources within the star's family have confirmed that a return seems unlikely.

I believe Messi should reconsider his stance and at least lead his team to Russia and then who knows, 2018 could be his year. What do you think readers?? Could there be one last hurray or are matters best left as they are??
