Buffon was asked for the world's best striker right now, his answer is simply astonishing....

Legendary Juventus and Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has stated who he thinks is the deadliest striker in the world right now.

Who are you expecting? Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski. Far from it.

According to Buffon, the deadliest striker is AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko. Former Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko is the Serie A top scorer as well as Inter's Mauro Icardi with 12 goals each.

He told Sky "At the moment, he’s the most dangerous striker, he’s adapted very well to Spalletti’s plans and has understood them perfectly, and you can see the results of that. He’s probably just a player who needed time"

“In the end, leave aside the present Dzeko and he still has a very good record which speaks in his favour. To think that he had all of a sudden become a mediocre player sounds a bit stupid.”
