
Palace has suffered eight defeats in their last ten matches and they also suffered a dismal 2016 in the Premier League, winning just six of their 36 matches, picking up only 26 points. This poor performance has made the club has taken decisive action.

Crystal Palace chairman Parish said: "I would like to put on record our sincere gratitude for the tremendous service Alan has given us, both in his time here as manager and previously as a player. During his tenure Alan's hard work and dedication were without question, he has improved so many areas of the club and we wish him the very best for the future."
Alan Pardew took Palace to their first FA cup final in 18 years where he lost to Manchester United and broke the transfer record twice when he signed Yohan Cabaye and Christian Benteke. Pardew also guided Palace to their first top ten finish last season since 1992. Sacked England manager Sam Allardyce is currently undergoing talks to replace Pardew as Palace aim to retain their top flight status come May.
