New Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho presided over his first game as the club's coach today. The Portuguese coach came out smiling as his side recorded a 2:0 win over last season League One champions Wigan in the first preseason game.
New signings Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan made their debuts as Luke Shaw also came back into the side after breaking his leg last season.
Strikes from youngsters William Keane and Andres Pereira in the second half was the difference between the two sides.
New coach Antonio Conte didn't have such a good day on his first game in charge however as his charges were downed by Rapid Vienna. A strong line up featuring Diego Costa and Victor Moses took to the field but an early strike from Joelinton and a late effort from Tomi Correa handed the game to the Austrians.
