Henry takes up coaching role.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry who is currently a pundit for Sky Sports TV has been appointed as assistant manager for the Belgium national team.

The 39 year old has a wealth of experience having represented Monaco, Juventus and Arsenal, where is the record highest goal scorer with 228 goals in 337 appearances. He also represented Barcelona where and New York Red Bulls during his playing days winning a host of trophies including the Champions League and league titles in  England and Spain.
Thierry is regarded in some quarters as one of the most complete strikers in the game.

Henry equally enjoyed similar success with the national team wining the 1998 World Cup, 2000 Uefa Euro and the 2003 Confederations Cup. Henry is France's record goalscorer with 51 goals. Henry spent the best part of his post retirement life analyzing matches on Sky Sports. Henry expressed his delight at his new role while Belgium head coach Roberto Martinez stated that the Frenchman will bring something different to the team.

This will be Henry's major first major coaching role although he did handle the Arsenal U-18s earlier for a while. Henry will be expected to impart his knowledge on the vast array of attacking talent at his disposal in the Belgium national team.
