Barcelona set to sign Paco Alcacer

FC Barcelona search for a backup front man could come to an end as early as today as they are in the concluding part of a deal for Valencia striker Paco Alcacer after he passed his medical at the club today.

The Spanish club who had their offers for players like Gabriel Barbosa turned down in a frustrating striker search have finally settled for the Spanish forward. The clubs have finally reached a €30 million deal with an extra €5 million in add ons for the 22 year old Spanish international.

Young starlet Munir is supposed to be going in the opposite direction albeit not a part of the Paco's deal.

Paco Alcacer came through the Valencia's youth ranks, making his senior debut for the club in 2014. He has won the U-19 European Championships twice with the Spain U-19s. The 22 year old scored 30 goals for Valencia in 92 appearances while he has also scored 6 goals for Spain in just 13 caps.

Paco will have to prove he can play with the best if he is to thrive with the Catalans.
