Questionable actions of Louis Van Gaal since his move to Manchester United
I have been a Manchester United fan for many years and despite the few good times we have had under Van Gaal, i have to say that sometimes the decisions of the coach just baffles. these are some of his baffling decisions over the seasons.
1. Selling Angel Di Maria after just a season for "losing too many balls"
According to the player himself who we shouldn't forget was in the form of his life, the British record signing said himself that he had to quit because he couldn't adapt to Manchester United's style of play. Even as dismal as Angel was for the club that season, it shouldn't be forgotten that that was the last season we qualified for the Champions League of which he played his part with goals and his fair share of assists. His goal in the Leicester game won the goal of the season.
I strongly believe that any rustiness he showed was due to the fact that he was trying to adapt to the manager's playing style and that it was his first season in Manchester. his house was burgled for reason sake.
Players like Di Maria should be kept and nurtured at all costs but for Van Gaal, .................
2. His funny starting lineups
Daley Blind strength as a player is in the defensive midfield with 2 solid defenders behind him, he does some of the dirty work, the defenders mop up any work he is not able to do.
Blind is also one of the best long passers in the game. But for Van Gaal, despite having two fit defenders to replace him, he prefers to play his most creative midfielder as a defender.
I don't need to talk about the amount of havoc Juan Mata has wrecked in his few season in the EPL from the CENTRE of the park. But for Van Gaal, playing him from the right seems a good decision.
These and many other stupid decisions a 10 year old in front of his PS4 console wont make. It sometimes make you wonder how he prepares his players mentally.
Lets not talk about yesterday's decision to play Ashley Young (WTF????) as a strikkkerrrrrr??????????? WHAT????????????????????????????????????
I think i've said enough.
3. Selling 'CHICHARITO' for "missing a penalty"
Ask Petr Cech, he will tell you the fear of Chicharito is the beginning of clean sheets. The story of Manchester United in the Post-Ronaldo era would not be complete with Javier Hernandez. He is your typical box striker, can convert half-sorry-quarter chances and how we need a player like that now, but no for Van Gaal, "missing a penalty is an unforgivable offence, lets sell him"
'The Little Pea' has gone on to score over 20 goals for Bayer Leverkusen this same season where our search for goals and an attacking mentality in our team is similar to the search of an astrologer for dinosaur fossils :- ONCE IN A WHILE.
These and many other issues like
- Ball possession and anti counter attack mentality
- Lack of winning (the Manchester United) mentality.
- Improper use of massive funds entrusted to him
Need i say more??
Van Gaal has made too many mistakes, He has spent too much money on too many failed players, he has no plan for the team.
"HE DOESN'T HAVE THE MANCHESTER UNITED MENTALITY" Luis Nani.
I say its high time we had a change of coach. Van Gaal must be asked to leave the club at the end of the season or else, our Liverpool era would start running full steam.
